2 SESSIONS (90+ MINUTES EACH) BY APPOINTMENT

LEARN TO MAKE COLD-PROCESS SOAP WITH OIL, LYE & YOUR FAVORITE ADDITIONS!

Unlock the art of crafting custom, all-natural bar soap from scratch in this

hands-on Cold Process Soapmaking Workshop.

  • Skill Level: Beginner-friendly (no prior experience needed)
  • What We Make: Together we'll make and share a 10 lb large batch of cold-process soap. You will get 5 lbs of molded or cut soap to keep, approximately 25-35-bars depending up size.
  • Duration: 2 sessions of approximately 90 minutes each

What You Will Learn

  • The Science of Saponification: Understand how plant oils and sodium hydroxide (lye) transform into gentle, moisturizing soap.
  • Safety First: Master proper handling procedures for working safely with lye, protective gear, and ventilation.
  • An Adaptable Recipe: Learn how to adjust a base recipe to create different scents.
  • Natural Colorants & Scents: Customize your bars using pure essential oils, clays, spices, and botanicals.
  • Second Class for unmolding, cutting, packaging & labelling: Step-by-step guidance on completing your soap.

What’s Included

  • All raw ingredients, plant oils, and pre-measured lye solutions
  • Safety equipment (gloves, goggles, and aprons)
  • Printed step-by-step guidebook with beginner recipe

Important Notes to Keep in Mind

  • Safety Requirements: Please wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed-toed shoes for the class.
  • The Cure Time: Because cold process soap needs time to harden and neutralize safely, your finished soap ill stay in its mold for 24–48 hours, be cut or unmolded in the second class, and require a 4-to-6-week cure period at home before it is ready to use.
