Hi, I'm Lisa! I have been teaching for over 35 years, and nothing brings me more joy than helping kids discover their passions! My educational journey includes a BA in History from Carleton College and an MA in Film Production from Ohio University. I bring a world of real-life adventure to my students. I’ve lived in Kenya, run a natural food store and bakery, created local TV commercials, and homeschooled my own four sons through 8th grade. Here in Asheville, you might know me from UNCA's Super Saturday, or after-school programs at Carolina Day, Claxton, or Jones Elementary. Since 2012, I’ve been leading hands-on camps in Stop Motion Animation, Filmmaking, and Baking. In 2020, I launched my own micro-school to create a vibrant, cozy learning environment for local students. I also love languages and speak French, Spanish, and Swahili!
